Continuing
crunch-time to the wedding in our backyard in a few short days.
I
think I have a grip on things, but who knows what could happen between now and
then. The forecast is looking perfect for Saturday, so at least we have that
going for us. In addition to this list, I forgot to tell you that when I washed
the dining room windows two weeks ago and I took down the curtains, one of them
ripped. A little extra sewing project I hadn’t anticipated. Hopefully nothing
else rips, tears, or breaks between now and Saturday.
Here
is my wedding to-do list, with my usual green-highlight as complete and yellow-highlight
worked on. Pretty much caught up on things.
Sometime
within the two weeks prior to the wedding:
- Hem the bride’s dress
- Wash windows – dining room, kitchen, laundry, living room
- Buy decorations
- Make signs for road so people can find our house
- Put names on the mailbox which is really the card-box
- Make up bed in guest room (as we will have overnight
guests)
- Wash bathroom rugs – in the washing machine right now
- Clean out
frig (why were there three half-empty jars of pickled beets and another
three half-empty jars of sweet relish in there?)
On
Friday:
Make potato salad
- Make macaroni salad
- Vacuum thru entire house
- Clean bathrooms
On
Saturday:
- Boss everyone around as they set
everything up
- Boss everyone around the rest of the day, because somebody
has to make sure this comes off without a hitch
Hubby’s
list is longer, but he is retired, so whereas I have to work today and
tomorrow, he can get his stuff done.
Watch
for pictures on Sunday!
As far as the contents of the fridge - why ask why? Do you REALLY want to know?!
ReplyDeleteMay everything come off perfectly. And for the inevitable oopses - I hope they make good stories!
You're doing better than I would. I'd totally be freaking out. Good luck with everything. :D
ReplyDeleteSometimes when 'things' are left in the fridge too long, they tend to reproduce. Maybe that happened with your pickle relish???? Have a lovely wedding. Enjoy every moment. I do remember the absolutely long lists and frantic planning/working that went into our daughter's wedding. You know those pink flamingos? We planted lots of flowers and put 4 pink flamingos in our back yard with party hats, just to make our guests smile. Good memories. May the wedding be very special with good memories for you! And maybe, just maybe a return to writing soo.
